A touch of Christmas happiness lingered in University Hospital's respirator center yesterday afternoon when Mrs. S. J. Ojack (center, standing) sponsored a party for the patients and nurses. A special guest at the affair was Mrs. John Ehlers (second from left), daughter-in-law of Prof. and Mrs. George M. Ehlers, who is a patient at an outstate institution. Santa Claus (in the person of Nick Long, a teacher of juvenile patients) brightened the occasion. At the right is Mrs. Smith B. Atwood, jr., of 1815 Hiawatha P. Both she and Mrs. Ehlers have been "weaned" from treatment in chest respirators and are gradually regaining use of their paralyzed limbs.
