Thailand's Prince Dahni-Nivat (left), Princess Sibpan Sonakul, and Tongoni Tongyai, secretary of the Thai mission to the United Nations, take a stroll through the University's Inglis House gardens. The prince, a graduate of England's Oxford University and a prominent scholar in the field of Oriental studies, is attending the 27th International Congress of Orientalists at the U-M. He is the official sponsor and honorary president of the Siam Society.

"A recognition tea, held Tuesday afternoon at the University's Inglis House, honored the 135 women who have assumed leadership in the Ann Arbor Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) during the past year. New members also were greeted. Enjoying a break in overcast skies are AAUW members (from left) Mrs. Edward F. Conlin, social chairman; Mrs. Dwaine V Lighthammer, first vice president in charge of membership; Mrs Lousi Senunas, chairman of the recent graduates group that served as hostesses for the tea; and Mrs. Justin C. Oliver, outgoing orientation chairman."
