HOUSE 'BLOWN UP': The Travis Texaco Service at 414 E. William St. probably will have to wait a long time before it has a more unusual call for service than occurred this morning when a house drove up. Actually, the service was for air in the tires of the rig beneath the house, which was being moved.

TYPICAL SCENE: Hundreds of cars failed to start in this morning's subzero temperatures, and William Sprentall is shown working on one of them at a gas station at Ashley and Huron Sts. The local Automobile Club was many hours behind in responding to calls for aid. Gas stations, also deluged with calls for assistance, were often hours behind in responding.
