Steve Cole (left) puts the finishing touches on a display explaining the county's Alcohol Safety Action Program, which is being given a national award for "innovative" programming at the National Association of Counties convention to be held in Dallas in July. The safety program has been funded for the past three years by a $1.6 million federal grant and is designed to reduce the number of alcohol-related car accidents in the county. Nancy Boyer and James Hender (sic), project director, adjust the display. The display will be shown at the convention.
