Carpeted floors and an acoustical ceiling with built-in lights mark the entrance lobby of the new Campus Theater. There is also a touch of walnut trim. The far door leads into the auditorium. The theater will be open to the public at 1 p.m. tomorrow. A private showing for invited guests only is scheduled to be held tonight.

This trim, triangular marquee and large glass areas give a modern look to the Campus Theater at 1208 S. University Ave. It is the first theater to be built in Ann Arbor since the State Theater was constructed in the 1940's. It is said to be one of the three movie houses built in the United States during the past 10 years.

Do What? The management of the Wuerth Theater which posted this suggestion on the marquee didn't really mean that people should go to East Lansing to see movies, even though at first glance it might appear so. What the management undoubtedly means is that it would like to have people patronize the Michigan, the State, and the new Campus Theaters. The latter will open tomorrow. Pictures of it are on page 32.
