WORLD CHAMPIONS RETURN: Prof. Philip A. Duey (third from right), University Men's Glee Club director, and Mrs. Duey (holding bouquet), are greeted by U-M Secretary Erich A. Walter (far right), and Mrs. Martha W. Lindenschmidt (back to camera), secretary to club advisor, James D. Shortt, jr., as they and the club arrived back at Willow Run Airport yesterday. The club climaxed its 39-day concert tour of 12 European countries by winning the first place "world championship" for male choirs in international competition at the annual Welsh International Eisteddford at Llangollen, Wales, Saturday. The U-M club previously won first place honors in the international festival in 1959. Club members dispersed for the rest of the summer.
