New Brass In Police Department - Promotions brought smiles this week at the Ann Arbor Police Department. From left are Police Chief Walter E. Krasny; Howard A. Zeck, advanced to major/ new captains Kenneth B. Klinge, head of the department's University Unit; Marvin Dann, Donald Carnahan and Thomas Minick, all platoon commanders; Eugene L. Staudenmaier, Intelligence Division, and Robert Whitaker, Research and Records Division head. Also promoted to major was Walter V. Hawkins, while Detectives Raymond Woodruff and Robert Conn received captains' bars.
