"The Summer Youth Employment Program Sponsored by the city of Ann Arbor is in full swing, as indicated by these photos by news photographer Jack Stubbs. The program is designed to help all youths, but particularly economically disadvantaged youngsters both black and white aged 14 to 21, find jobs this summer. The program offices are located in the basement of the YMYWCA Building at 350 S. Fifth Ave., telephone 665-2626. In the top picture [this photo], Debbie Owens in the foreground is being counseled by Shawn Martin. In the background is Robert Hovey counseling Martin Greer. In the photo below, senior counselor Julia Moore conducts an orientation session."
