Dave Hirth of Ann Arbor Geisler Plumbing slides home with the run which gave the state Class B Softball Champs a 1-0 lead over Ecorse. Hirth, who had tripled, scored on a sacrifice fly by pitcher Jim Bennett. The umpire is Carl Genske. Geisler Plumbing went on to defeat their Ecorse rivals, 4-2, in the final game.
