Excitement At The Circus: The look on the children's faces sums up the edge-of-the-seat excitement at the Clyde Beatty-Cole Bros. Circus here Tuesday. Among the thrilling moments were animal trainer David Hoover having a lion leap through a flaming hoop and Ron and Mitzi dangling high above the floor of the Big Top. The circus, a one-day affair held next to Meijer's Thrifty Acres on Carpenter Road, was a fund-raising project of the Ann Arbor Optimist Club.

David Hoover, a University freshman who is determined to camp throughout the fall and winter terms, is seen stowing new textbooks into one of his four tents several miles from Ann Arbor.
