Ann Arbor Police Department Receives Valentine's Day Cake, April 1969 Photographer: Cecil Lockard
Year:
1969
Published In:
Ann Arbor News, February 14, 1969
Caption:
Valentine's Day Bribery? Ann Arbor Police Department Community Relations Sgt. Kenneth B. Klinge (left) holds a parking ticket as a symbol of what the plea on the cake in the foreground is all about. But Traffic Lt. Howard R. Zeck, whose sister, Mrs. Reatha Parker, baked the cake, is unconvinced that love should take precedence over the law. He declined to declare a Valentine's Day amnesty. There was some thought of citing Mrs. Parker for attempted bribery but the evidence was eaten.
