HOUSE FIRE - Ann Arbor firefighters Wednesday night battle a blaze that caused extensive damage to a home at 2035 Independence. The fire, which started in the attic, destroyed much of the roof. Fire Marshal Wes Prater said the fire probably originated at the chimney. The fire is under investigation.

The group, totaling 16 skaters ranging in age from 13 to 19 years old, was one of the club's four precision teams previewing routines performed at the Midwest Precision Competition held at the Lakewood Arena in Cleveland over the weekend. It was a qualifying competition to see who would go to the national competition. The adult team placed third in the competition. Some individual skaters also participated in the weekend event.
