Washtenaw County Sheriff's Sgt. Robert Aeillo at Dexter Station, April 1978 Photographer: Larry E. Wright
Year:
1978
Published In:
Ann Arbor News, April 14, 1978
Caption:
Small Quarters - Sgt. Robert Aeillo stands in front of one of the smallest police stations in the world located in downtown Dexter. This sheriff's department substation is 15 feet by 12 feet and contains an office. Recently, the substation was located on Grand Street. But officers late last month moved back into the tiny building, which was the original location of the village police department. Aeillo and Sgt. D. N. Wenk are the commanders of the local station. The station also serves as a transfer point for officers going out to patrol the western end of the county. (Staff photo by Larry E. Wright)
