Final instructions were given today to census enumerators who will start the population count in Washtenaw county tomorrow. Washtenaw county's doorbells began ringing to the touch of federal census-takers this morning. Here census enumerator Mrs. Joseph Albano of 1030 E. Huron St. stands waiting to begin one of the interviews. Enumerators conducted practice interviews at some homes earlier this week, but the actual big count did not begin formally until today. Under Mrs. Albano's arm is the large official census portfolio by which she can be easily identified as an enumerator. She also carries an identification card signed by Robert J. Baker, district census superintendent.
