AVID LEAGUE SUPPORTER: Mrs. Carl Johnson, finance chairman of the Ann Arbor League of Women Voters, smiles with approval as Dr. John F. Shepard of Oakland Ave., professor emeritus of psychology at the U-M, is first in line with his contribution for the League's annual finance drive, which gets under way officially Sept. 17. Supporters of the League's nonpartisan work in national, state and local government are being asked to donate $3,500 this year.

March of Dimes Winners: Four bowlers, two from Livingston and two from Washtenaw, won prizes in the finals of the March of Dimes bowling tournament rolled off at the Temple alleys in Ypsilanti yesterday. From left to right, the prize winners are James Murray of Brighton and Shirley Kaiser of Pinckney, both from Livingston county and Charles A. Smith of Gregory and Barbara C. Chapman of Ypsilanti representing Washtenaw. Mrs. Carl Johnson (right) of the March of Dimes committee is making the presentations. The four winners qualified for the National March of Dimes tourney.
