Mexican Consul Chats With President: Leading off the academic procession at this afternoon's ceremonies inaugurating Dr. Harlan H. Hatcher as the University's eighth president was H. E. Torres (right, above) [this photo], Mexican consul in Detroit, representing the National University of Mexico which was founded in 1551. He is shown talking with Dr. Hatcher in the Regents' Room this morning. Workmen are show (left), preparing the canopied passageway across N. University Ave. for the inaugural procession from the Natural Science Building to Hill Auditorium. Traffic will be detoured for the occasion.
