THE DEMON AND THE FAIRIES: Rehearsing for the forthcoming Ann Arbor Junior Theatre production of "The Other Cinderella" are Peter Blood, center, playing the Demon, and Judy Brown, left, and Kathy McKevitt, who have been double-cast to play the Fairy at alternate performances. The play will be presented at 8 p.m. Friday in a special evening performance for teenagers, and at the usual Junior Theatre production times of 2 and 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the Little Theatre of Ann Arbor high School. Tickets for all performances will be on sale at the Little Theatre box office from 7 p.m. Friday and from 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

CLEAN SCENE: News' Photographer Doug Fulton was startled while driving yesterday afternoon to pull up behind this truck with its odd cargo of a man in a bathtub. But he wasn't too startled to jerk up his camera and take this shot through the windshield. The truck's cab held three men and the fourth made himself at home in the tub being transported by the Ann Arbor window cleaning firm.

The mortar and pestle on the right is made of volcanic stone and the idol in front of it is approximately 1,000 years old. Mrs. Longone wears a handmade Huipil, the dress of the Mayan women.
