Getting ready for the Ann Arbor Art Association's exhibit of local art, which opens tonight at the Rackham Galleries, are these two husband and wife teams of artists. They are (left to right) Mrs. Ethel Lewis, instructor in ceramics for the public schools' adult education program; Richard Wilt, University art teacher; Mrs. Ellen Bonar Wilt; and William A. Lewis, U-M technical illustrator who is in charge of hanging the exhibition.

Rarely a day goes by at the William A. Lewis residence when someone in the family isn't doing a little painting, drawing or sculpturing. Five-year-old Clayton Lewis and his sister Susan, 6 1/2, shown above with Prof. and Mrs. Lewis, find that the backyard makes a good summertime studio. Mrs. Lewis is active in the local Potters Guild.
