POTTER AT WORK AT THE WHEEL: Richard Mitchell of the Potter's Guild is shown "tooling in" the foot of a bowl in leather-hard clay. Mr. Mitchell is an instructor in the department of Near Eastern studies at the U-M. The observer, Mrs. Eric Liddell of South Lyon, is wearing one of her own creations, an enamel-on-copper ring. The pot in the foreground is ready to be bisque fired; then it will be glazed and fired again.
