Shady Knoll subdivision just off the Expressway, one miles east of the Ford plant, is typical of population growth in Eastern Washtenaw county. So far, there are 76 houses up, of which all but 12 are sold. Forty-one families are now living in the subdivision. Hannah sales agents report that the two-bedroom homes are by far the most popular. When finished, the streets will be complete with concrete curbs and gutters and asphalt surfacing supplied by the Madison Construction Co., buildings of the subdivision.
