NEARLY COMPLETED: Finishing touches are being applied to this new 50-unit University Motel in the 1000 block of Broadway, once the site of one of Ann Arbor's oldest business buildings. The $180,000 motel is operated by Herbert M. Meyer and Edwin M. Rosenthal of the General Motels Corp. Designed by Detroit architect Paul Tilds, and built by the Henry W. deKoning Construction Co., the motel will open shortly, possibly this month.
