Holy Week Altars: Four altars, striking in their diversity, were set up in the First Methodist Church of Ypsilanti this week for Holy Week worshippers. The altar arrangements, which varied from the simple crossed branches to the more elaborate Cross and goblet display, were set up by the Senior and Intermediate Methodist Youth Fellowships, the Unmarried Young Adults and the Mr. and Mrs. Club. The altars were located in rooms behind the sanctuary.

Assembly Line: Putting greens, cones and bright bells together to form attractive door decorations has been the job of Miss Ann Owens of Washtenaw Ave. (left), Mrs. Thomas Abercrombie of Grove Rd (center), and Mrs. Edward Potter of Roosevelt Blvd. The women are busy finishing their decorations which will be featured in a booth at the Ypsilanti First Methodist Church bazaar which will be held until 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. tomorrow.

For Easter Meditation: The Ypsilanti First Methodist Church annually sets up altars similar to the one above, in Sunday school rooms and opens them daily for quiet prayer in preparation for Easter. The one above on the theme, "Confession," reads: "All we like sheep have gone astray- we have turned everyone to his own way- Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Confession calls for renewal." Other themes include "renewal," "vision" and "dedication."

Ypsilanti Church Being Repaired The maze of steel scaffolding in the Ypsilanti First Methodist Church has been erected to refinish the ceiling with acoustical tile. Maxe A. Obermeyer of Obermeyer Construction Co., a member of the church who is doing the job, comments that it takes longer to erect the scaffolding than to do the ceiling, Services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in Ypsilanti High School auditorium. Supt. Robert F. Thomas of the Pittman Community Center at Sevierville, Tenn., will be guest speaker.
