MAN FOUND MURDERED: Dell Cain, 36, of 610 S. Huron St., Ypsilanti, was found at 11:20 a.m. yesterday, dead from a knife wound inflicted by an unidentified person in Willow Village about nine hours earlier. Undersheriff Charles W. Shaw (right) and Detective Lt. Melvin C. Fuller here examine Cain's body, which was found lying beside his car in a vacant field off MacArthur Blvd. in Willow Village. Officers theorized Cain, dying from loss of blood, passed out while driving on MacArthur. The vehicle hit a large stone in the field, and the impact apparently threw the stabbing victim from the car. An Ypsilanti man is being sought for questioning in connection with the case, Fuller said.

Willow Village Theater, a landmark of the wartime "Bomber City," to become church, December 1955

Ann Arbor News, December 16, 1955

WILLOW VILLAGE THEATER TO BECOME CHURCH: The Center Theater, a landmark of the wartime "Bomber City," has been leased by the government to a new church group, the Community Gospel Temple. The nondenominational group plans to open the large Village building as a church Jan. 8. The church was organized, the pastor says, because "so many of the people moving into the Ypsilanti area are 'displaced persons' spiritually."
