Howell Taylor, Ann Arbor architect and member of the exhibition committee of the annual fine art show of the Michigan Academy of Science, Arts and Letters, places an academy award of merit for sculpture on "Young Knight," prize-winning entry by Marshall Fredericks of Birmingham. Prof. Jean Paul Slussers' "Winter Woods" won the water color award, the only Ann Arbor entry to receive a prize. The exhibition at the Rackham Gallery will continue through April 6. Prof. Carlos Lopez and Prof. Emil Weddige of the University's College of Architecture and Design served as the jury for the 150 entries in the show.
