Vandals broke windows, turned over desks, knocked clocks off wall and battered about 10 cassette recorders and typewriters Saturday. Riggs has estimated damage at "roughly $5,000." Happy Birthday, JSB - We should all do so well on our 300th birthday. Johann Sebastian Bach was feted around the world and around the town on Thursday on the anniversary of his birth. At Eberwhite Elementary School in Ann Arbor, the school's orchestra and chorus performed works by Bach at a birthday bash Thursday afternoon. Above, orchestra conductor Dan Long leads the young musicians with the picture of Bach projected above them. At right, [this photo] principal Milton Riggs holds up the birthday cake for all to see.
