WON STATE CHAMPIONSHIP: Here is the Dad's Root Beer Girls team of Ann Arbor which recently won the state Class A girls' title in the tournament at Lansing. The "Champs" have a busy week-end ahead playing under the lights at Brighton in a single game tonight starting at 9 o'clock and appearing in a double-header Sunday evening at Adrian. Jean Smith, start pitcher for the team, will report to the All-American Girls' league next season. Front row, (left to right) Geraldine Kern, Louann Brown, Peggy Steiner, Dorothy Cooch, Marjorie Johnston and Mary Moore.
