A Christmas shopper hauls home a yule tree along Grand River Avenue in Brighton atop a foreign compact car. With just a week left before the holiday, the last minute rush has begun to buy presents and get yule trees up. But temperatures that may reach into the 40s hardly make it seem like Christmas. UPSET CAR GETS HEAVE-HO: Wrecking crewmen launch a back-to-normal movement for this car, which skidded into a ditch and overturned alongside Geddes Ave. just east of Vinewood Blvd. shortly after 8 o'clock this morning. Three occupants, all University students on their way from Willow Village to Ann Arbor, escaped injury. The driver, Herbert H. Meyer, 25, a graduate student from Kalamazoo who lives at 1014 E. Harwich Ct., Willow Village, said the crash occurred when he applied his brakes suddenly to avoid hitting another car that drove out into Geddes from a side-road.
