Kiwanis Club Dedicates Hospital Playroom ~ A new pre-school playroom at C. C. Mott Chidren's Hospital was dedicated yesterday by the Ann Arbor Kiwanis Club in honor of Ashley Clague (second from left), long-time local resident and former Ann Arbor Board of Education president. Clague, a retired grocer, was cited for his fund-raising efforts and his continuing support of recreational programs at Mott Hospital. Congratulating Clague at ceremonies yesterday was T. R. Johnson (far left) Kiwanis International President from Denver. Also pictured are Robert Norris (far right), an original charter member of the club, and Ralph Keyes (second from right), local attorney and trustee of the Forney W. Clement Memorial Project. Clague was instrumental in founding that project, too, which is dedicated toward the financial support of educational and recreational programs for children at the hospital.
