BREAK GROUND: A bulldozer is shown here tearing up the paved parking area in back of the University's Museum Building today prior to construction of a $1,200,000 national center for research in animal biosystematics as an addition to the building. The little building in the background, which formerly housed animals in the U-M's tiny zoo, and the trees in front of the bulldozer will also be removed to facilitate construction of the 50x118-foot structure. The new structure will connect with the zoology research wing of the building on the right, forming a triangle.
