FIREMEN BATTLE FLAMES AFTER CRASH: Two Walled Lake teen-agers suffered only minor injuries yesterday afternoon when their car, out of control, skidded into a ditch and overturned on Ten Mile Rd. at Wood Rd. in Oakland county. South Lyon firemen, not sure all of the car's occupants had escaped, pour chemicals on the blaze. Freddie Vanderpool, 18, and his 15-year-old companion, Joyce Parks, were treated by a South Lyon physician. Vanderpool's stepfather bought the 1949 car Saturday.

QUICK ACTION BY WOULD-BE RESCUERS: Not knowing whether all of the occupants of the wrecked and burning car had escaped, passersby quickly righted a Walled Lake auto after it had plunged into a ditch on Ten Mile Rd. in Oakland county yesterday. Teen-agers Freddie Vanderpool and Joyce Parks of Walled Lake suffered only shock, cuts and bruises in the accident and were out of the car when the picture was taken by News Photographer Maitland LaMotte.

Huron St. yesterday afternoon as firemen subdued a fire that damaged the interior of the front portion. Glass in the large front windows was a casualty. No definite damage estimate was available.
