Convention Nears: The Rev. Andrew Zeile (left) president of the Michigan District of the Lutheran church - Missouri Synod, discussed plans for the district's annual convention while in Ann Arbor this week. Dr. Zeile talks with (left to right) the Rev. Alfred Scheips, pastor of University Lutheran Chapel; the Rev. Vernold Aurich, co-pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and Ernest Laetz, chairman of the local convention committee. The convention will be held Aug. 18-22 at the University.

Honor Pastors: A stained glass window with the theme "Nativity," installed in the University Lutheran Chapel in honor of the Rev. H. A. Brauer, calls the attention of his brother, the Rev. Carl A. Brauer (left) and chapel pastor, the Rev. Alfred T. Scheips (right). Both brothers served a dual role as pastors of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and to Lutheran University students, and the Rev. Carl Brauer continues as pastor of St. Paul's. He is also honored by one of the eight new windows to be dedicated tomorrow.
