Tournament of Tomes is back for another season of book trivia fun where teams of 3-5 people read eight books and compete against one another to answer questions sourced from the Book List. Who'll be crowned champion in 2026?!
What is Tournament of Tomes?
AADL has put together a list of eight books for teams of 3-5 to read over the coming months. On March 1, teams will gather at the Downtown Library to compete head-to-head, answering trivia sourced from the books. There will be a qualifying round, and on that same day, the highest-scoring teams will move on to the final round. Champions will be crowned!
Where do I get the books?
Teams are responsible for obtaining copies of all the books on the Book List. AADL has physical copies of each book available to check out, along with ebook and audiobook versions of most titles available through Libby.
How do I sign up?

What sorts of trivia can I expect to be asked?
Questions will vary in difficulty, but we're not looking to ask stumpers. Expect to use all parts of your brain, but there's no need to overthink things. You can enjoy your reading experience WHILE "studying" for competition.

Join AADL staff for a Tournament of Tomes: Social Mixer. If you're looking to find teammates or learn more about the Tournament, this event is for you. Think bookish icebreakers, get-to-know-you games, and good vibes. Every interested attendant is guaranteed a spot on a team. Expect to make a few new friends in a low-stakes, pressure-free environment.
