The orchestra will participate in all six programs. The Choral Union will sing Thursday and Saturday evenings. The young people will sing Friday afternoon.
Wednesday Evening: Lucrezia Bori will sing several favorite arias. Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Frederick Stock, conducting.
Thursday Evening: "Belshazzar's Feast" will be sung by the University Choral Union with Chase Baromeo, soloist; Earl V. Moore, conducting. Jascha Heifetz, violinist, with Mr. Stock, conducting.
Friday Afternoon: Ruth Bampton, soloist. The Young People's Chorus will sing "Spring Rapture," Juva Higbee, conducting. Eric DeLamarter will conduct for Miss Bampton and for orchestral selections.
Friday Evening: Program, commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Richard Wagner. Grete Stueckgold will sing outstanding arias written by the composer. Mr. Stock, conducting.
Saturday Afternoon: Symphony concert, Mr. Stock, conducting. "Comeback debut" of Guy Maier and Lee Pattison, dual pianists.
Saturday Evening: Choral concert. World premiere in concert form of Howard Hanson's "Merry Mount," written for performance at the Metropolitan Opera House and given by special permission of the Metropolitan Opera Association. Howard Hanson, the composer, conducting.
