Mexicoborn JOSE LIMON began life over at the age of seven when his musicianfather brought the family to the United States to become permanent residents. Young Jose's language became English. His earlier musical bent gave way to his ambition to become a painter. It was while he pursued his artistic studies in New York that he saw his first dance concert--an event which convinced him to change his career plans again, this time permanently, to dance. For the next ten years he was associated with the formation and evolution of modern American dance. After a period of Army service he formed his own dance company and began choreographing his own works. Mr. Limon has taught dance at a number of colleges, and is at present associated with the Juilliard School of Music.
