The PHILADELPHIA ORCHESTRA, with the five concerts of the 1971 May Festival, performs here for the thirtysixth consecutive year. Under its distinguished conductor Eugene Ormandy, the Orchestra has become a worldrenowned ensemble. It is also probably the world's most traveled symphonic organization, having toured Great Britain, all of Europe, including Russia, Latin America, Japan, beside extensive tours through Canada and the United States.
