TROJ AK -a Silesian folk dance which is the source of the Polonaise.
A GIRL IN A FOREST -a popular folk song telling of the courtship of a young girl and a handsome hunter.
TANIEC CHUSTKOWY, DANCE OF THE SCARVES -a Polish dance with scarves char?acterized by speed, liveliness, and excitement.
MAIDS FROM RVESZOW -a selection of songs and dances from the region of Rveszow.
KUJAWIAK WITH OBEREK -two contrasting dances: the Kujawiak is slow and roman?tic; the Oberek fast, dynamic, and spectacular.
KUJAWIACZEK -a romantic dance from Kujawy, north of Warsaw.
CARNIVAL IN WILAMOWICE -from the carnival in Wilamowice; colorful, traditional dances.
TANIEC Z BAT AMI, DANCE OF THE WHIPS -a men's dance from the Polish mountains.
KOLOMAJKI -a dance from the Koniakow region; the girls dance while rhythmically beating their long braids on the floor.
CALL TO THE MOON AND THE ROBBERS' BALLAD -a musical presentation of ancient folk rites.
TATRA DANCES -regional folk dances from the Tatra regions, involving the use of battleaxes.
INTERMISSION
POLONAISE -the Polish national dance.
A GIRL AND A SOLDIER -arrangement of the song, "Corn Poppies and Uhlan's Vision"; a coupling of patriotic songs with a ballet suite using the Mazurka.
WHEN MARGARET WENT DANCING -a dynamic polka from the Silesian region.
PLAY TO ME MUSIC! -highlighted by beautiful men's costumes, this dance is from southern Poland.
HELLO, HELLO! HELEN -the girls from the Beskid mountains sing a charming echo song.
DANCE OF THE TWO MICHAELS -this comic dance is based on a popular folk song.
CRACOW SUITE -songs and dances from the Cracow region; this includes an original Tartars' dance.
