Les Menestrels, a Viennese ensemble formed in 1963, performs music from the 13th to 16th centuries using more than seventy original instruments of the period. The ensemble has participated in festivals in Vienna, Salzburg, Paris, Lucerne, Dubrovnik, Spain, and Flanders, and has taken part in many theater symposiums. They have concertized throughout Europe and Scandinavia and are currently making their first North American tour.

Trebble and tenorfiddles, rebec, gambas of the 16th century, hurdygurdy, medieval and renaissance luths and mandoras, vihuela, harp, psalter, shawms, crommornes, dulcians, cornetto, recorders, slide trumpet, trombone, keyholehorn, bagpipe, fife, galoubet, douchaine, portativ, different percussion instruments.
