Artists' note: The musicians of the Borodin Trio left Russia permanently in 1976, at which time they formed the Borodin Piano Trio. Violinist Dubinsky was founder and first violinist of the famous Borodin String Quartet, performing some 3,000 concerts around the world, including Ann Arbor in 1967, with that ensemble. Luba Edlina, his wife, is noted for her brilliant per?formances as pianist with the Borodin Quartet during her 20-year association with it in the Soviet Union. For 13 years prior to his emigration, Yuli Turovsky appeared as cello soloist on international tours with the renowned Moscow Chamber Orchestra under Rudolf Barshai.
