Bethany knew she had a slim chance of surviving because it was a tiger shark but it worked out okay. But she faced with an even bigger problem; whether or not to start surfing again.

But then, a month ago, I worked up enough courage and guts to read it. I loved it!!! It reminds me to never judge a book by it's cover and summary.

In this book she tells the horrific story of how she lost her arm and how she has coped with such a loss. This book is such an inspiration and is a good story for all ages especially those who have problems, whether health or other, who need help coping. Bethany never pitied herself, but instead knew that this wasn't going to change, and learned to deal with it! What an amazing person!! :)

Even more than talking about her loss it talks about how she was able to get back on the board and how she always believed that nothing could stand in her way. It is inspiring.

This young girl is such inspiration she can not only surfers how to overcome a tramic injury she can inspire anybody to overcome a tramic injury. This is a must read for young and old alike the lesions Bethany teaches are just wonderful. So this is a wonderful book that must be read by all.

Soul Surfer submitted by estermyer on July 27, 2013, 5:44pm This is a book based on a true story on how when Bethany Hamilton got attacked by a shark and lost her arm. But she kept her faith and didn't freak out and didn't let it keep her from surfing even with only 1 arm. Very good book!
