Great book, in a silly way submitted by MikeS on March 27, 2007, 10:33am How was this ever taken seriously? Nonetheless, it's a gripping piece of fiction. More so since the rhetorical techniques ("Now I'm slipping away, but I'm still writing this...") are so wooden and heavy.

Alice, you've taught us submitted by kittenkat101 on June 22, 2011, 5:12pm Taken from a girl's diary--this is NOT fiction--Go Ask Alice shows how easy one can become addicted to drugs and how difficult it can be to stay sober when surrounded by drug addicts. Encourage your friends to read this book. It's heart-wrenching and beautiful.

Excellent book -- NON-FICTION submitted by cpk2661 on September 9, 2013, 10:26pm This is a great book. However, it is misleading and incorrect to label this as fiction. It says right on the first page that this is a NON-FICTION book. Every teenager should read this -- coming from a teenager myself. This book deserves much more recognition. If you liked The Perks of Being a Wallflower, you'll like this.

Please move this to the NON-FICTION section, AADL.

Gotta say, the people have a point. submitted by lisa on July 31, 2020, 1:36pm It's anonymous memoir, but not fiction. Librarians????
