Once upon a time, there were three hungry Dinosaurs: Papa Dinosaur, Mama Dinosaur . . . and a Dinosaur who happened to be visiting from Norway. One day--for no particular reason--they decided to tidy up their house, make the beds, and prepare pudding of varying temperatures. And then--for no particular reason--they decided to go . . . someplace else. They were definitely not setting a trap for some succulent, unsupervised little girl. Definitely not!

Mo Willems rocks! submitted by fairytale on June 16, 2013, 3:48pm Funny book for kids - Mo Willems is a hilarious author and illustrator!

Goldilocks And The Three Dinosaurs submitted by modgirlke on June 27, 2018, 7:38pm I love twists on classic fairytales and this is one the best, funniest ones I've come across. Instead of Goldilocks intruding on the house of the three bears, she unknowingly intrudes on the house of three dinosaurs. At first, she's oblivious to the fact that all of the furniture is larger, food is in gigantic proportions, and she keeps hearing loud noises that sound like planes overhead. The dinosaurs are laying in wait, hoping for a tasty chocolate-filled, little girl, bon bon. By the time Goldilocks realizes her mistake, it's almost too late, but I'll make you read the story to find out what happens!

Dinosaurs! submitted by tbbrown76 on August 5, 2019, 10:44pm Dinosaurs died out 60 million years before the first humans on the scene. Humans and dinosaurs NEVER co-existed. Not recommended for its lack of scientific accuracy.

Go Goldilocks! submitted by kpkozloff on June 14, 2021, 12:08pm A really good book about failing at what you wanted to do so badly.

Fun read submitted by katiekipp on June 15, 2021, 8:12pm Mo Willems delivers again with a silly book that will make the whole family smile!

A Fractured Fairy Tale submitted by Meginator on August 21, 2021, 9:08am From the glorious variety of alternate titles on the endpapers to the characteristic snarky, self-aware tone that characterizes Mo Willems’s books, this is an all-around delightful alternative to the traditional Goldilocks story. Willems frequently calls attention to the many absurdities inherent in the oft-told fairy tale, weaving them into an alternate narrative starring a trio of sneaky dinosaurs. The illustrations are cartoonish, bold, and deceptively simple, though Willems hides plenty of tiny details for sharp-eyed readers (look for a cameo by none other than the infamous Pigeon!). I laughed out loud several times while reading this, and it’s one of the better re-imagined fairy tales I’ve encountered in a while, standing on its own merits while paying homage to a familiar cultural touchpoint.

Genuinely Funny submitted by GSchne on July 23, 2022, 8:53pm This one is incredibly silly and very appealing to kids. There's also a few lines that we adult readers genuinely found funny.

Fun version! submitted by skairis on August 20, 2022, 11:03pm A great take on a familiar classic!

Very tongue and cheek submitted by balin on August 5, 2023, 9:16am Very blatant in the fictional aspects of this story. Another humorous take by Mo Williams.
