The Tales of Beedle the Bard, a Wizarding classic, first came to Muggle readers' attention in the book known as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Now, thanks to Hermione Granger's new translation from the ancient runes, we present this stunning edition with an introduction, notes, and illustrations by J. K. Rowling, and extensive commentary by Albus Dumbledore. Never before have Muggles been privy to these richly imaginative tales: "The Wizard and the Hopping Pot," "The Fountain of Fair Fortune," "The Warlock's Hairy Heart," "Babbitty Rabbitty and Her Cackling Stump," and of course, "The Tale of the Three Brothers."--From publisher description.

Keep them reading submitted by Judeyblu on July 26, 2016, 10:14pm This small book is a good way to keep the passion for reading alive.
Once kids find Harry Potter help them read as much about him as possible.

Fun stories even a muggle will love submitted by jmb.mlis on August 12, 2016, 11:00pm Fun romp in Harry's world.

Wizard Folk-Tales for All Ages submitted by LibraryLiz on July 27, 2017, 10:06am For those who really can't get enough of the HP world, this book will give you another taste of what it is to be immersed in the wizarding culture. When Ron says "babbity rabbity and the cackling stump" in Deathly Hallows, my interest was peaked - and so were many others, apparently. Thankfully, JKR has graced us readers with this tale, the full reading of "The Three Brothers" as well as many other wizarding folk tales that promote beneficial lessons for young witches and wizards. It was also a fun volume for the Harry Potter life-long-fan, an easy read but a good passtime.

LOVED IT!

Awesome Book submitted by unknown on June 18, 2018, 4:02pm This book is a great story book, for both potterheads or not. I got this book for Christmas from a friend and it is just AMAZING!!!

excellent submitted by WiseRaven on July 20, 2018, 8:04pm i found a nice version of this book in a used book store after i read the HP series and wow these stories incorporate classic fairytale structure with the HP magic that we all love amazon book

Creative, clever stories submitted by MMCochran on August 10, 2018, 1:15pm This was cleverly written. It certainly extends the HP world experience. It also touches on issues of discrimination/stereotype, affinity grouping, in an accessible way

Fantastic Addition submitted by lstorc on August 31, 2018, 11:36pm The short story collection is a fantastic addition to the Harry Potter World! it's something you can read over and over again.

really good submitted by justurlocalspirit on July 20, 2020, 8:26pm i really liked these stories, but some of them (*cough* the warlocks hairy heart *cough*) were pretty dark

short fun stories submitted by AngelaA2 on August 15, 2020, 1:03pm I really liked this book because it had lessons at the end. My favorite was babbity rabbity and the hopping pot. I think think these are good stories for children from third grade to fith grade. i also liked these stories because they are related to harry potter.

Nice! submitted by Mel Ruiz on August 19, 2021, 6:21pm I liked this book. My personal favorite story was the fountain of fair fortune. I suggest that maybe sensitive viewers should skip the warlocks hairy heart. It was creepy. But the others are cool. Fun fact: I read this book BEFORE Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows so when it mentioned the tale of the three brothers I got excited and I read that part instead of letting my dad read it to me. It was so great! :)

Love submitted by amtorrey on July 21, 2022, 10:40am I loved this book so much! It feels like you are truly apart of the HP world while reading these fairy tales!
