Changed my life
submitted by Dorcee on June 17, 2011, 12:42pm
This book changed my life. After many, many years of trying to have an "attitude of gratitude," reading this book actually enabled me to daily think about thanking God for everything. Ann is not an optimist by disposition, and neither am I. She has struggled through many hard things in life and her attitude of thanksgiving has come hard won. That greatly encourages me in my own struggles. Ann tackles the hard questions in her book: how can anyone give thanks for the death of a child, for instance.
Ann writes beautifully. This is one of the few books in my life that when I finished it, I immediately started it over.

Slow down, notice the moments in life and be thankful. This is a beautiful story, more poetic and meditative in nature. I took my time reading it, to soak it in. She also inspired me to begin writing my own "Gratitude journal, to keep me aware of so many blessings and ways God loves us!!.
The author also offers a shorter version of this book with some of her own wonderful nature photography...a great gift book.
