Disappointing, unfortunately submitted by smgop on December 15, 2015, 7:11pm I waited with anticipation to be able to finally read Thing Explainer, as I find Mr. Munroe's humor hilarious. Unfortunately, his desire to explain things in simple language dumb these entities down too far - and make it confusing to figure out what exactly he's trying to say. The sketches and diagrams are amazing - the words, confusing and irritating. I found myself having to translate from really dumb simplistic English into just plain normal English, and found it to be an insult to my plain old mediocre intelligence.
Great book submitted by Ncordell on June 25, 2017, 3:53pm I feel that this book put things that I have trouble understanding. It really helped me. I do not feel that some of the things he explains he needs to explain, because it made me feel dumb to learn how a submarine works. But Amazing book anyways
I wasn't really impressed

I love the title and the basic idea. But, I was disappointed in the execution. Things are explained waaay to simply and he leaves out some of the important (and admittedly more difficult) ideas that are vital to the concept. Good read. Just don't expect perfection.
