Book Design Masterpieces submitted by doctorfang on June 19, 2014, 10:47am This is a beautiful compilation of some of the best book covers every designed. Mr. Kidd is a master.

Beautiful introduction to graphic design submitted by eileenw on July 15, 2016, 10:58pm A great visual introduction to graphic design for kids or adults. The "introduction" aspect is that it covers a broad range topically, not that it's a "lite" version. Chock full of examples to back up the concepts, the book itself is beautifully designed. Author uses examples from his own work (primarily book covers he's designed, including the cover for Jurassic Park) and examples from other book cover designs as well as sundry non-book designs.

The exercises/projects at the end of the book are perhaps better suited to kids/teens than adults, but as a whole the book is appealing to adult readers and doesn't talk down to the reader or pull any punches.
