Bicycles! Feminism! Dystopias! submitted by Meginator on July 4, 2018, 3:26pm As promised by the title, each of these stories is indeed a feminist tale involving bicycling in a dystopian environment. Nonetheless, the collection has surprising variety, both in the types of dystopias used and the stories’ general tone; many of the stories use familiar tropes for the base, but the authors put their own spins on the expected, resulting in an anthology that feels fresh and original despite certain thematic constraints. The general quality is a bit uneven, but it’s always interesting to see how each author incorporates feminism, dystopias, and bicycling into a unique story.
