Library Journal Review

Booooorrring. submitted by markwells on June 16, 2017, 6:13pm This movie was either highly overrated or maybe I just didn't get it. Grade: C-.

Brilliant submitted by andrewjmac on June 24, 2017, 10:00am Honestly, I picked this one up because of the great artwork Criterion has created for their restoration, and, man, am I glad they make such nice covers. Tense and sad at the same time, the film is more than the thriller it advertises itself as, dealing with the effect the loss of a child has on a family. Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie both turn in masterful performances that are worth seeing and the ending does not disappoint at all!

Super-scary. submitted by lisa on July 29, 2019, 3:01pm I was only 20-ish when I saw it, but I'm still too squeamish to see it again.

The recent Midsommar is similar in tone, I understand. So I won't be seeing that either!

garbage. pathetic garbage, even for the silly 60s-70s. submitted by Tassos on November 18, 2021, 2:53pm It makes me sick when stupid movies like this one legitimize frauds like astrologers, psychics, mind readers and assorted SCUM.

THe movie is hardly watchable.
