COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Wow! submitted by manz on October 16, 2015, 3:48pm All 3 movies in the original trilogy in one box! Very handy.

Amazing submitted by ishhewitt on July 14, 2016, 6:20pm As much as I love Star Trek, Star Wars is better. The original trilogy are masterworks of film.

Classics submitted by ashflowtuff on June 22, 2017, 8:03am My kids are finally old enough to appreciate the originals, the classics, the beginning . . . .

Great trilogy! submitted by Xris on August 29, 2018, 10:06pm Luke was so cute, along with Han!! I remember watching these movies when I was a kid!

Mm submitted by pepemama on August 14, 2019, 6:05pm Greatest trilogy of all time

New Hope is good submitted by yufamily on August 6, 2021, 11:16pm One of the best Star Wars

A Long Time Ago, in a Galaxy Far, Far Away... submitted by Meginator on August 11, 2021, 5:13pm Ah, back to where it all began. Though these versions of the movies include a few lamentable edits, most of the original special effects remain intact and the mix of high stakes, fast action, and a healthy dose of humor makes these films worth returning to again and again. The Star Wars universe (galaxy?) feels increasingly huge with each film, yet the stories keep close to the core characters established in Episode IV, giving them emotional weight that builds throughout the trilogy. Some of the storytelling is a bit simplistic and the acting can be raw, but it all adds to the charm. There’s a reason that Star Wars is such a cultural juggernaut; these films know exactly how to create compelling characters, weave together a convincing and massive universe, and not take themselves too seriously. It’s a winning combination.

The Classic Trilogy submitted by journeyhawthorne on August 7, 2022, 12:11pm Of the trilogy of trilogies in Star Wars(ha ha), this one has the most going for it, mostly because it's the classic that spawned the expanded universe.

Kid Stuff submitted by KidBlue on August 8, 2022, 7:56pm I can see why so many people like it, but it’s pretty juvenile stuff, devoid of any ideas.
