Pretty good submitted by klickitat on May 25, 2013, 8:58pm Great atmosphere and some genuinely creepy moments. I didn't find it to be very suspenseful and guessed the "twist" early on but the reveal was still unsettling. A lot of the gore is implied, rather than shown (camera turns away, fuzzy images, we cut to the actor's reaction, etc.) Felt like an effective mishmash of famous horror movies (Exorcist, Poltergeist, The Grudge, Amityville Horror).

great movie for scary movie night! submitted by 21621031390949 on August 11, 2016, 9:00pm I don't generally watch horror movies, but our German exchange student had seen this one and said it was the scariest movie he'd ever seen. So we watched it together and he screamed with terror several times.

5/5 submitted by Morgsush on June 19, 2022, 3:07am The Super 8 home films are so creepy, and the atmospheric score really adds to the unsettling tone of the whole movie. Great horror movie with great jumpscares as well.
