COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Pleasantly surprised! submitted by Nancianna Girbach on August 14, 2017, 9:18am I had no expectations whatsoever about this movie. It had not received that good of a review and I thought "oh, well, just give it a shot. I can always turn it off". BUT to my delight this was a REALLY GOOD movie with a great script, cast and story line. Each person at Table 19 had their own story to tell, and the intertwining of the reasons why they were even at the wedding was very well done. Just when you thought that the plot was going to dive into a cliche', it made a sharp left turn and you were left thinking "that was clever" as you became more and more involved in the lives and possible outcomes for these disparate people being drawn closer and closer together. I liked it so much that I am going to buy the DVD. Give it a try...............

ok, but over the top submitted by mmckenzie on August 26, 2017, 10:45am Better than I expected, but they milk the 'stupid' too hard sometimes.

Not bad submitted by leenajong on August 30, 2017, 2:13pm Not bad at all, this show.

Just Ok submitted by mandevil on September 11, 2017, 2:12pm underwhelmed

Ok submitted by snabbleon on July 21, 2018, 8:21pm Mildy humorous but didn't make much sense. The dog was the best part.

Funny and Sweet submitted by cmarie2004 on July 25, 2018, 9:16am If you are looking for something to watch to pass the time, this is a decent choice. It had all the makings of a rom-com.

Table 19 submitted by dree411 on July 30, 2018, 7:05pm I really enjoyed this movie

Great characters submitted by lstorc on August 28, 2018, 1:39am The characters were each singularly enjoyable and complementary to one another. They may not have the most enticing plot, but it is a lot of fun.

fun! submitted by kbahleda on June 20, 2019, 10:19am Each character was funny and not what you expected.

table 19 submitted by caburr47 on July 2, 2020, 9:05pm Interesting premise of what happens when you put the people you had to invite to the wedding, but wish wouldn't come actually RSVP attending - they go from awkward to awkwardly sweet and they steal your hearts and put the wedding as an afterthought.

A Bit Flat submitted by Meginator on August 11, 2021, 5:43pm This film has a wonderful premise and a strong cast, but it fails to properly introduce its characters and ultimately falls a bit flat as a result. I almost considered turning it off altogether after the first twenty minutes or so, but I’m ultimately glad I stuck with it as a few unexpected developments add genuine depth to the story after some agonizing forced awkwardness. Despite some excellent character development among the supporting cast, I never became emotionally invested in the primary storyline and didn’t buy into the way that the relevant relationship developed as the plot progressed. Without fully believing in the two central characters, I couldn’t really enjoy the story, which is a shame because the script has its fair share of fresh moments and unexpected depth that you don’t often find in a film like this. Ultimately, this is all potential and no execution aside from some excellent moments from the ensemble.
